The Refresher Program is designed for both ENs and RNs holding general registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia who meet the Recency of Practice Registration Standard of three (3) months practice in the last five years but wish to refresh their knowledge in clinical nursing. It is also suitable for ENs and RNs looking to return to practice (as per the AHPRA letter). The refresher program is ideal for nurses working in non-acute areas of practice that wish to work in acute care. The program builds on previous knowledge, skills and experience in preparation for demonstration of safe practice. This program has no clinical placement component. The modules offered are: Professional Issues in Contemporary Nursing Practice; Physical Assessment; Care and Management of the Deteriorating Person; Respiratory Nursing; Assessment and Management of Common Cardiac Conditions; Neurological Assessment; Mental Health; Infection Prevention and Control; Wound Management.
