At the 2019 Policy Summit in March, we caught up with each of the Policy Chapter Chairs to get a brief overview of the work conducted in 2018 as well as the upcoming priorities for 2019.
Professor Lisa Whitehead FACN is the Chair of the Chronic Disease Policy Chapter and the Deputy Chair is Robyn Quinn MACN.
This Chapter developed a Discussion Paper and Position Statement, which highlighted that nurses are integral to ensuring optimal health outcomes across the lifespan.
This year, the Policy Chapter will focus on childhood and teenage obesity – in particular, the role of nurses in obesity and young people.
