At the 2019 Policy Summit in March, we caught up with each of the Policy Chapter Chairs to get a brief overview of the work conducted in 2018 as well as the upcoming priorities for 2019.
Professor Deborah Parker MACN is the Chair of the Ageing (formerly Health Ageing) Policy Chapter and the Deputy Chair is Professor Trisha Dunning AM FACN DLF. This Chapter developed a Position Statement which drew on Australian and international literature to highlight 11 action areas for Australian nurses to promote health ageing.
This year, the Chapter will be looking at the Quality Indicators for Aged Care Services, which has been an emerging topic for the industry and an area that has already received attention at the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety.
