The Children and Young People Faculty aims to support nurses working in the field of adolescent and young people’s nursing. Adolescence is the phase of life between childhood and adulthood and encompasses elements of biological growth and social role transition. Alongside this belief, social forces, such as digital media as well as economic and political forces need to be considered for their significant influence on the health of the young person. This Faculty brings adolescent and young people’s nurses together to provide strategic advice on policies and positions for this team.

The Children and Young People Faculty has produced the Nursing Conversations: Working with Young People audio series profiling international and local academics and clinicians working in the field of young people and adolescent health.
The short episodes – which are 10-15 minutes in length – explore the guest’s career background along with their motivations for working with children and adolescents. The series also provides listeners with insights into different methodologies to draw on when working with and caring for young people and adolescents.
