This unit of study introduces students to leadership and management in the modern Australian health care system. Theoretical ideas around management, leadership, and organisations are introduced. Students will reflect on organisational culture and motivation. The student will be asked to apply theoretical ideas to practice and to the workplace through practical exercises. The opportunity for deeper learning occurs as students study contemporary economic, social and political issues that influence the Australian health care system.
