This unit of study aims to support registered nurses in developing their role as integral members of the multidisciplinary cancer care team. There is a strong focus on survivorship models of care, genomics and molecular profiling, metastatic cancers, and secondary malignancies to enable the nurse to provide individual care across the lifespan.
This unit will provide nurses with the advanced knowledge and understanding of delivering evidence-based cancer care and explore malignancies’ impact on individuals and communities.
This unit is aimed at nurses with existing knowledge of cancer etiology and treatment side effects and those working with individuals with a cancer diagnosis in Australian health facilities.
