Overview
The Essentials of Respiratory Nursing 1 microcredential aims to develop your respiratory clinical assessment skills and knowledge and apply them to the clinical situation. It is important to assess and interpret respiratory findings with consideration given to the individual’s clinical presentation. You will learn to relate the physiology of oxygen transport to pulse oximetry and recognise the advantages and limitations of information in the clinical setting. An important aspect of respiratory assessment is lung function.
This microcredential will also introduce you to diagnostic tests that individuals suffering from respiratory symptoms may undergo or have to perform.
