About Medicines Management Course
The Medicines Management course is designed to familiarise nurses and midwives with their obligations and registration requirements regarding the safe management and practice of medicines. This course is tailored specifically to the scope of practice of Enrolled Nurses (EN), Registered Nurses (RN), Nurse Practitioners (NP), and Midwives (M).

You will need to complete the 8-hour learning module and pass the 20 multi-choice questions to complete the Medicines Management course. 100% is required in the quiz within 3 attempts. Within the learning module is a reflective log and interactive activities to complete.
Only one enrolment into the Medicines Management course is usually permitted. If you are unsuccessful in completing this course please contact courses@acn.edu.au to discuss your options.
If the Medicines Management course is being used to manage clinical or professional practice concerns the hours used to complete this course are not considered CPD.
If the Medicines Management course is being completed to expand and refresh your current knowledge on professional or medicines practice, you could include the hours spent on the course in your NMBA CPD record. Your certificate will not display CPD hours.
This Medicines Management course is designed for ENs, RNs, NPs and midwives. The course targets common professional practice and medicines management notification areas and focuses on the NMBA Standards for Practice and other related codes and guidelines.
Once enrolment is complete you will be required to verify your Ahpra details if this is not already complete for your account. This is to ensure your completion certificate contains your full name as registered with Ahpra.
