As Australia’s largest provider of Graduate Certificates for Nurses, the Australian College of Nursing (ACN) is thrilled to announce that we will be offering two new Graduate Certificate programs for nurses to enhance their knowledge and opportunities to shape our health systems. The Graduate Certificate in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Nursing and the Graduate Certificate in Digital Health are some of the first Graduate Certificates in these areas in Australia and will both take students from July 2022.

Graduate Certificate in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Nursing
The Graduate Certificate in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Nursing, in recognition and response to Australian Health and Welfare along with the evolving role of the nurse in health care, is a course providing the knowledge required for advanced practice in diagnostic and interventional radiology nursing.
The course facilitates critical thinking and is focused on the provision of contemporary, evidence-based and person-centred care.
The Graduate Certificate in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Nursing allows nurses to pursue careers as a:
- Nurse Educator
- Academic
- Nursing Unit Manager
- Clinical Nurse Specialist or Consultant.
The units offered in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Nursing include Principles of Diagnostic Medical Imaging Nursing, Interventional Radiology Nursing, and Post-anaesthetic Recovery Unit Nursing.
Graduate Certificate in Digital Health
The Graduate Certificate in Digital Health is a course providing specialist training in the diverse world of the digital health environment. The course aims to give nurses insight into the legal, moral and ethical frameworks of conducting health services in a digital space and gives students the opportunity to reflect and critique their own experiences with current literature and research.
The Graduate Certificate in Digital Health allows nurses to pursue further careers in:
- Specialist clinical informatics
- Specialist health information technology roles
- Clinical education roles
- Management roles in the information officer sphere.
The units offered include Understanding Data in Health Care, Principles of Healthcare Digitalisation and Digital Healthcare Governance.
