The Australian College of Nursing (ACN) congratulates Professor Christine Duffield FACN and Mrs Carmen Morgan FACN for their re-election to our Board and to newly elected Director Associate Professor Georgina Willetts FACN.
ACN President Professor Christine Duffield FACN
Re-elected ACN President Professor Christine Duffield FACN is an internationally renowned nurse who has worked tirelessly across direct care, consultancy, academia, research and in leadership roles to spearhead the advancement of the nursing profession in Canada, New Zealand, the UK, and Australia for over 40 years. She is a Professor of Nursing and Health Services Management at Edith Cowan University, Perth; Emeritus Professor University of Technology Sydney and President/Chair Australian College of Nursing.
Carmen Morgan FACN
Carmen Morgan FACN, the re-elected ACN Vice-President, has over 30 years’ experience as a nurse and has worked in a variety of rural, regional and remote health roles in Western Australia (WA). In 2019 she commenced a role as Regional Director of Nursing and Midwifery for the Great Southern Region of Western Australia.
Professor Georgina Willetts FACN
Newly elected ACN Board Director Professor Georgina Willetts FACN has over 30 years nursing experience and more than a decade of experience in leading nursing and midwifery reform within the health care industry, moving to academia in 2011. Georgina has been an active member of ACN and the Royal College of Nursing for more than 15 years and was a keynote speaker at our 2019 National Nursing Forum in Hobart.
