Delegates attending the 2018 National Nursing Forum
The National Nursing Forum (NNF) is the Australian College of Nursing’s (ACN) signature annual leadership and educational event which brings together nurses, students and other health professionals from around the country and the globe. The 2019 event, which takes place from 21 – 23 August in Hobart, is themed “Nursing Now — Power of Policy” and will address how nurses can have a greater voice in the policy arena. To get you pumped and excited we have compiled a list of five reasons why attending the NNF is an absolute must!
- An incredible speaker line-up
The conference will be headlined by leaders of the Australian nursing profession and health care sector. The keynote speaker list includes CEO’s, Chief Nurse and Midwifery Officers, authors and extraordinary nurses. A full list of keynote speakers can be found on our website.
- Expand your nursing knowledge
The NNF offers nurses of all levels the opportunity to present and share their nursing knowledge with a national audience. Concurrent sessions will run all throughout the three days focused around the four different streams of Universal Health Care, Next Gen Policy, Trailblazers and Health Economics. Listening to these presentations will provide you with tons of professional and personal knowledge to take back home!
- Make life-long friends and connections
Come for the nursing knowledge and leave with many new friends and connections. The Speed Leading and Network Session gives delegates the opportunity to connect with senior nurse executives, clinicians and academics for career coaching, networking and advice in facilitated shorts sessions. Bring your questions with you! The gala dinner is also a great chance to meet other nurses in a relaxed setting to ensure you leave Hobart with plenty of new friends!
- Explore beautiful Hobart
The bustling Tasmanian capital truly has something for everybody. Nature enthusiasts can hike Mount Wellington whilst culture lovers can visit the many fascinating museums in the City Centre. A full list of suggested activities to undertake during your stay in Hobart can be our website.
- Feel inspired and empowered
The atmosphere at the NNF is electric. Delegates have the opportunity be in the same room as past and present leaders of the nursing profession. This allows you to feel part of a community of like-minded nurses who share the same goal of raising the status and profile of nursing across the world. Remember, you are part of the ACN Tribe, the largest professional voice for nurses in the country!
